They are suitable for sending to the funeral, crematorium, church or graveside, and can also be chosen as a respectful tribute to send to the family home.

It can be laid beside the coffin, at the crematorium or graveside, or sent as a more natural, informal tribute from family or friends.

What colours and styles can I choose for a funeral sheaf?

You can choose from soft, gentle colours such as whites, creams and pastels, or opt for stronger tones like reds, yellows, blues and purples if that feels more appropriate. Our florists can include favourite flowers where possible, or create a mixed seasonal design with complementary foliage. We are happy to advise on colours and styles if you are unsure.

Who usually sends a funeral sheaf and where is it delivered?

Funeral sheaves can be sent by close family, extended family, friends, colleagues or neighbours. They are suitable for delivery to the funeral director, church, crematorium or family home. We provide free delivery of funeral sheaves to local funeral directors in Aberdeen and will liaise with them to ensure your tribute arrives in good time before the service.

How much notice do you need and can a funeral sheaf be personalised?

We recommend ordering a few days before the funeral where possible, especially if you have particular flower or colour requests. However, we will always try to help with shorter notice if we can. Funeral sheaves can be personalised with a message card and, in some cases, ribbon sashes or small name details.
