Funeral service arrangements (sometimes called pedestal arrangements) are larger floral displays designed to be used during the funeral or memorial service. These tall, elegant designs are often placed at the front of the church or crematorium, beside the coffin, near the lectern or by the entrance to create a beautiful focal point.

A funeral service arrangement, sometimes called a pedestal arrangement, is a larger display of flowers designed to stand on a pedestal, plinth or stand during the service. These arrangements create a focal point at the front of the church or crematorium and can be used beside the coffin, near the lectern or at the entrance to the venue.

Where are funeral service arrangements usually placed?

Pedestal arrangements are often placed on either side of the coffin, at the front of the church or crematorium, by the pulpit or lectern, or near the main entrance as guests arrive. They can be used alone or alongside coffin sprays, wreaths and other tributes to create a coordinated look for the service.

What colours and styles can I choose for a service arrangement?

You can choose from soft, traditional colours such as whites, creams and pastels, or opt for stronger tones like reds, blues, yellows and purples if that feels more fitting. Our florists can create classic, modern or more natural styles, and where possible we can include favourite flowers or colours to reflect the personality of your loved one.

How much notice do you need and where do you deliver?

Because funeral service arrangements are larger designs, we recommend ordering a few days before the funeral where possible, especially if you have specific flower or colour requests. However, we will always try to help with shorter notice if we can. We provide free delivery of service arrangements to local funeral directors, churches and crematoriums across Aberdeen and will liaise with the funeral director to ensure everything arrives in good time for the service.
