It is usually chosen by close family, such as a partner, children or immediate relatives, and is considered the main tribute. Coffin sprays can be made as single ended (teardrop shape) or double ended (oval shape) designs.

What sizes, colours and styles can I choose?

We can create coffin sprays in different lengths to suit the coffin and your budget, from shorter designs to larger sprays that cover most of the coffin. You can choose from classic whites and greens, soft pastel shades or stronger colours such as reds, yellows, blues and purples. Where possible, we can include favourite flowers or create a design that reflects the personality of your loved one. Our florists are happy to advise if you are unsure what to choose.

Who usually sends a coffin spray and where is it delivered?

Coffin sprays are most often sent by close family members – for example a spouse, partner, children or immediate relatives – as the main tribute on top of the coffin. We provide free delivery of coffin sprays to local funeral directors, churches and crematoriums across Aberdeen, and we liaise with the funeral director to ensure your spray is in place in good time before the service.

How much notice do you need and can a coffin spray be personalised?

We recommend ordering a few days before the funeral where possible, especially if you have specific flower or colour requests, but we will always try to help with shorter notice if we can. Coffin sprays can be personalised with ribbon sashes, names or short messages such as “Mum”, “Dad”, “Gran” or “With Love”, as well as a handwritten card message.
